Getting Fit, Mugen-Style

The new Fit (aka Jazz) has been given the tuning treatment by Honda’s in-house speed fiends, Mugen.

The majority of parts focus on improving the aesthetics of Honda’s cute one-box hatchback, and while they do indeed look pretty, that’s not what we’re interested in. The performance side of Mugen’s modifications extend to the basic bolt-ons, like sports mufflers, low-restriction air filters, short-shifter linkage, stiffer and lower suspension, slotted rotors and uprated brake pads.

While the Mugen Fit will never have the sheer power to take down some of the big guns, like the Toyota Supra, but we know that you sport compact fans out there will just love it. All that needs to be done now is to replace the standard motor with Honda’s venerable K20 and let ‘er loose on some winding roads…
