Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Demo To Feature New GT-R, STI

Japanese sports cars and the Gran Turismo series have always gone hand-in-hand and judging by the car lineup in the GT 5 Prologue demo - due to be released tomorrow - the latest installment will be no different.

Seven vehicles will be playable in the free demo, six of them of Japanese origin. On offer will be the 2008 Lexus IS-F, 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI, 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X GSR, 2008 Mazda Atenza (Mazda6), Daihatsu OFC 1, BMW 135i coupe and of course, the Nissan GT-R. Only one track will be available in the demo, Suzuka, but at least its a good one. Up to 16 cars may be on the track at the same time as well, so races should be fairly exciting.

Four of the above cars (namely the IS-F, STI, EVO X and GT-R) are either hot off the production line or just about to roll off it, so if you’re lucky enough to have a PS3 with a data cable plugged into it the GT 5 Prologue demo is perhaps your only chance of experiencing these cars first-hand.

The demo is only available for the PS3 (like, duh) and will be downloadable from the Playstation Store between October 20 and November 11. If anyone decides to download it tomorrow, do us all a favour and let us know what you thought of it via the ‘comments’ section below.
