Mazda Taiki
It might not be the next RX-7, but the Mazda Taiki Concept is at least powered by Mazda’s 16x next-gen rotary engine. It’s the latest concept to showcase Mazda’s “Flow” design philosophy and like it or not, you can expect to see many styling cues from the Taiki showing up in future Mazda designs. Hopefully not those outrigger rear wheels though, they’re just a little bit too sci-fi. Head over to Autoblog for more pics and Mazda’s press release.
Honda CR-Z Confirmed For Production
In the last bulletin, we mentioned that the CR-Z was rumoured to be headed for production soon. Well, consider the rumour to be fact, as Honda has announced that the CR-Z will make it into production sometime in 2009. With a petrol-electric hybrid drivetrain, the CR-Z should be a pretty zippy little number and hopefully a worthy sucessor to the CRX of yesteryear. We’ll be keeping an eye on this one.
