VIP Performance: Tuning Goodies For The Lexus GS430

Let’s face it: nobody buys the GS430 to win races. It’s a stately cruiser designed with upper-level white collar customers in mind, and for many GS owners it’s just a quiet, comfortable method for crossing the divide between A and B. Blitz, on the other hand, think that the GS430 could benefit from some extra poke, and have designed a superb supercharger kit to provide the luxury saloon with a little more “go”.

Blitz’s compressor kit for the GS430 - unveiled at the recent SEMA show - features a switchable twin supercharger system that can provide two levels of boost. The supercharger is supported by a stainless steel exhaust, sparkplugs and a replacement air filter, while an integrated in-cabin toggle switch allows the driver to select low, high or - god forbid - no boost, with the high setting endowing the GS430’s 3UZ-FE with an estimated 271kW and 563Nm of torque. It won’t be tearing up chunks of asphalt anytime soon, but the increased power will definitely help propel the GS’s occupants to their next boardroom meeting just a little quicker than before. And besides, obscene amounts of horsepower in a luxury sedan? How crass…

Head over to Nihon Car for more info and pics. Coincidentally, Greddy also brought a supercharged GS430 to SEMA, although with its stickers n’ stripes get-up, it’s definitely the tarty sister to Blitz’s car.
