Remember the IS-F Racing Concept that we told you was going to be at Tokyo Auto Salon? Yeah, unfortunately we couldn’t show you any photos of it sitting pretty at the Makuhari Messe exhibition hall, but who cares - Thanks to Winding Road we can now show you pics of it doing its thang on a racetrack.

The lines are very DTM, but the car could be destined for GT300, ALMS or any other production-based racing category
Whilst it’s only a concept for now, that doesn’t stop the IS-F racer from looking any less purposeful
Aside from that boxy rear spoiler, the side profile is very similar to that of the road-going IS-F

Pending confirmation from Lexus, that’s still an unconfirmed rumour. However, given the obvious proportional similarities between the two, there very well may be a rebodied DTM chassis under there.
A report by Winding Road says that Lexus are also developing a totally different IS-F racer for the GT300 category in Super GT which, bizarrely, will have a mid-mounted engine. Should be pretty crazy.
