Sure, we all know the R35 GT-R is faster than Porsche’s 911 Turbo around the mighty Nurburgring circuit, but how does it fare against Stuttgart’s more hi-po offerings, such as the 911 GT3? What about the BMW M3? Autocar’s Chris Harris found out…

The GT3 might suffer from a relative lack of oomph (it “only” has 415hp, compared the the GT-R’s 473hp), it is several hundred kilos lighter. The M3, on the other hand, is in a totally different league of performance, and the fact that it dies at the hands of the other two is a real no brainer.

So, does the GT-R take out the Porsche? I’m not going to ruin the ending, so watch the videos and find out.
