Mine’s Release Diff Cooler Kit For 350Z

The 350Z is rapidly gaining popularity as a racing platform, however the unique stresses of the circuit can very quickly generate enough heat to cook the Z33’s standard viscous limited-slip diff. Help is at hand though, as Japanese parts manufacturer and tuning house Mine’s have released a differential oil cooler for the Z to give serious drivers a means of dissipating this heat well before it can damage their final drive.

The kit includes the oil cooler itself, as well as all the brackets, hoses, and fittings to mount it. An oil pump capable of flowing 8 litres/minute is also included, as are the various relays, sensors and wiring required to power it up. Not only does the kit actively cool the differential’s oil but it also increases oil capacity by 1.4 litres, thereby increasing the amount of heat the oil can absorb before needing to be cooled. Another bonus is the inclusion of a small oil filter, meaning that if you do manage to chew up your crown wheel, those particles aren’t gunna find their way between between another set of teeth and create more damage.

As with most brand-name Japanese parts, this kit isn’t cheap. At JPY 168,000 it’s probably out of the reach of your average weekend racer, but for those of you who’ve already invested several thousand in a tricked-out 2-way adjustable LSD (drifters, I’m lookin’ at you), the Mine’s oil cooler is cheap insurance.

More info will be up on Mine’s’ site soon.
