Up Close And Personal With The Lexus LF-A

French website Endurance-Info.com have got some pin-sharp photographs of the Lexus LF-A racer at the ADAC Nurburgring enduro, one of them depicting that 500hp V10 tucked neatly away in its engine bay.

The engine bay is home to a large amount of aluminium extrusions, suggesting that Lexus have adopted a similar approach to chassis construction as that other great advocate of aluminium, Aston Martin. Considering that the LF-A’s bodywork is largely constructed out of carbon-fibre and other composites, we wouldn’t be entirely surprised if a large proportion of the super-coupe’s platform was made out of lightweight alloy.

There’s also another great shot of the LF-A’s interior that shows off the full-length of that enormous buttress of a centre console. The finish of the plastics look a little low-rent for something that’s meant to be a $200,000-plus super car, however this is a racer, and one that’s most likely got a pre-production interior too.
