Yes, it’s a computer-generated rendering and yes, it’s 100 per cent fictional, but nothing could ever, ever stop this image from being so incredibly awesome. Why? Because this is without a doubt the most cohesive modern interpretation of the legendary S30 Fairlady Z that I have seen to date - and it rocks.
The chap responsible for these renderings is a Polish bloke who goes by the name Jacek Kolodziejczyk and suffice to say, his recipe of S30 style and proportions mixed with a little GT-R flavouring in areas such as the front bumper and the headlamp clusters really hits the nail on the head design-wise. However, while this is by far the best example of retro styling applied to a Nissan product ever, it’s let down by one small fault: it’s only a fancy rendering, and that’s what it’ll forever be. It’s a damn shame. [Source: Iacoski Design, via Nihon Car]

You can’t see them, but I’m crying tears of disgust.
Heh, I knew these pics would polarise readers, but that’s cool, for the world of JPCN is a tolerant one.
Personally, I think if the black inserts on the front bumper were body coloured and the wafer thin tyres and pizza dish wheels were replaced with a set of A048-wearin’ Wats, we’d have absolute perfection.
Anyone else agree with Van though? I’m interested to see what you guys (+ gals) think.
Some aspects are really neat, some less so. The bonnet lines transfer really well but a few areas like the C-pillar, and front bar are taken a bit too literally for my liking.
I don’t hate it, but I can’t help but think of it as the bastard child of a Z, GTR, and S2000.
I’m with Daniel on this one. It’s a really awesome looking car and I’d buy one for sure if it were ever put into production, but I can’t help but think that its a little… unoriginal
As an previous owner of a 240Z, all I can say is: yuck.
It’s just like retro versions of the Beetle, Mini and Fiat 500: they all look okay in isolation, but they pale in comparison to the legend established by the original.
They should use this design for the Silvia/200SX
